In the afternoon of 30 October 2005, Romania with other countries from Europe will switch to Official Winter Time. Thus, 04:00 AM will become 03:00 AM and will be valid until 26 March 2006 when the Official Summer Time will be again used.

United Nations Report: Deserts threatened by global warming
A new report, titled "Global Deserts Outlook," has been released on World Environment Day by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
